How to Create and Set Up Your Free Occudule Account

Create a free Occudule account, set up your family profile, and connect Gmail or Microsoft email so school messages become a trackable family schedule.

Welcome to Occudule! This step-by-step guide will walk you through creating your free account, configuring your family profile, and connecting your email for seamless tracking.

Step 1: Account Creation & Social Sign-In

Occudule supports sign-ins using Google and Microsoft email accounts, which includes Gmail, Outlook, Live, MSN, and Hotmail. You can easily sign up using Google, Microsoft, or Apple social sign-in options.

  1. Open the app and review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  2. Check the box labeled “I agree to Occudule’s Terms of Services and Privacy Policy” (this is required to use Occudule).
    • Note: The social sign-in buttons will remain inactive until you check this box.
  3. (Optional) Check the box for sending anonymous crash reports. This helps us improve stability and user experience, and your privacy remains fully protected as data is used strictly for fixing technical issues. You can change this setting anytime later.
  4. Tap your preferred social sign-in provider (Google, Microsoft, or Apple).
  5. When prompted by your provider, confirm that you allow the app/website to share your necessary information with Occudule, then tap Continue.

Step 2: Set Up Your Family Profile

Once the sign-in process is complete, your account is created and you will be directed to the Family Profile page.

  1. Enter your child's information, including:
    • Child's name
    • School grade and grade start date
    • School name and school email domain
  2. Click Save to proceed to the User Profile page.

Step 3: Complete Your User Profile

On the User Profile page, your name and email address will be prefilled based on your social sign-in information.

  1. Review your details and make modifications if necessary.
  2. If everything is correct, scroll down to the Syncing | Integration section.
    • By default, the email address you used to sign up is used as your synced account. You can change this to any other valid provider address (Gmail, Outlook, Live, MSN, or Hotmail) at any time.

Step 4: Connect and Sync Your Email

To allow Occudule to process school-related updates, you need to link your email account:

  1. Tap "here" (highlighted in green in the sentence "Tap here to connect and start syncing").
  2. A confirmation pop-up window will appear asking your permission to allow your email service provider to share your information with Occudule. Select Continue.
  3. Once linked successfully, a "Connected" confirmation pop-up will appear stating "Your email account is linked for syncing." Tap OK.

Platform-Specific Email Setup

  • Microsoft Users (Outlook / Live / MSN / Hotmail): Your account setup is complete! Occudule will automatically process incoming emails related to your child's educational institution (matching the names and email domains you entered in your Family Profile).
  • Gmail Users: At this time, Occudule does not support direct automatic email processing for Gmail, meaning you will need to forward school-related emails manually. To make this effortless, Occudule generates a unique forwarding address for you in the Email Forwarding section:
    1. Click the "Add to Contacts" button.
    2. A confirmation pop-up will appear stating "Contact added" and noting that Occudule Forward has been saved to your Google Contacts (contacts.google.com).
    3. Tap OK. You can now easily search for "Occudule Forward" whenever you need to forward school emails from Gmail.

Finally, click Save Profile, and you are all set to start using your free Occudule account!
